Indian celebrities express their support to people stranded in Kerala Floods

Life in Kerala is turning grimmer with each passing day, as rains and heavy floods continue to wreck havoc across the state. The flood fury has already claimed over 300 lives till now. While the nation is saddened by this tragic calamity, many Indian celebrities have taken to Twitter to spread awareness and show their support to the flood victims.

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar shared a list Kerala flood helpline numbers on his Twitter Handle. “Thoughts with the people of #Kerala. Here’s hoping that rescue teams, medical aid and food relief can reach all those in need,” wrote the ‘Rock On’ actor.

Alia Bhatt asked her followers for a donation towards the Kerala CM Distress Relief Fund. The ‘Raazi’ fame tweets, “The situation in kerala is heart breaking. Pls pls pls help and donate to the CMs relief fund. Any amount big or small will result in saving and helping the many many lives that are at stake.. ”

While Bollywood fraternity is expressing their support, Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli is no behind. Virat tweeted, “Everyone in Kerala, please be safe and stay indoors as much as you can. Hope the situation recovers soon. Also, thanking the Indian army and NDRF for their incredible support in this critical condition. Stay strong and stay safe.”
