Ahmedabad:
The entire nation is celebrating International Yoga Day on Wednesday and various programmes have been organised at various parts of the country on the ocassion. BJP president Amit Shah joined Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and performed yoga in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also present.
They performed yoga asanas amid heavy rains and were joined by thousands of people. Ramdev claimed that maximum people performed yoga at this venue, creating a world record.
On Tuesday, Ramdev had said that Shah lost 20 kilograms as a result of practicing yoga. "People who frivolously say that yoga is not a sport are ignorant and their opinion should be discarded. Yoga is also a sport and it should be included under the sports category," said Ramdev.
