New Delhi:

Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

A senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police said, “Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing at the Indian forward posts in Poonch district.”

He added, Indian troops are giving befitting reply to the Pakistani side.

India has witnessed a total of 881 ceasefire violations in 2017 along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir 771 times till December 10, and 110 times along the IB till November-end.
