UP Minister Sidharthnath Singh on Wednesday clarified that licensed slaughterhouses will be allowed to function. However strict action would be taken against licensed slaughterhouses if they violate rules, clarified another UP Minister Shrikant Sharma.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had directed police officers to prepare an action plan to shut down illegal slaughterhouses. Slaughterhouses allegedly running without permits have been shut down in Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra and Ghaziabad over the past two days. There have been reports of inspections across the state.

UP minister also added that Anti Romeo squad’s aim is to make women feel safe and to prevent any wrong incidents against women from happening.
In the cabinet meeting, CM said that we have to restore rule of law in the state and address problems of the public, said Sidharthnath Singh.
