New Delhi:

Nepal PM  Sher Bahadur is on a four-day state visit that marks his first trip abroad since assuming office in June was accorded ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan a day after his arrival. After which joint statement was issued between the leaders in Delhi.

PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday recieved his Nepalese counterpart Sher Bahadur at his residence. Nepal PM SB Deuba at Rashtrapati Bhavan said ' close neighbor, India helped Nepal in our development efforts, would request PM to support more' .

Earlier today, Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzu Rana Deuba paid tributes at Rajghat in Delhi.

According to reports, the detailed talks between the two leaders on Thursday was unscheduled. "Happy to welcome Rt Hon Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba ji, PM of close & friendly neighbour Nepal. Look forward to more extensive talks tomorrow," PM Modi tweeted on Wednesday along with a photograph of the two.

It also includes National Planning Commission vice- chairman Swarnim Wagle and National Reconstruction Authority CEO Govinda Raj Pokharel, secretaries of various ministries and 21 lawmakers. Deuba is scheduled to visit Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and Bodh Gaya in Bihar before returning to Nepal on Sunday.
