New Delhi:

The death toll in a landslide which buried a village in southwest China rose to 29, according to state media, with 22 still missing days after the disaster struck. Official news agency Xinhua said that 40 people have been rescued from the site in Shuicheng county, Guizhou province, according to the local emergency rescue command. Meanwhile, all India Shia Personal Law Board will hold elaborate discussions on the need to have strict laws pertaining to mob lynching in its annual meeting today in Lucknow.

3:00 pm: 21 people injured after a truck overturned at Mandyali village in Bilaspur district today. Truck was carrying 40 pilgrims from Punjab who had come to offer prayers at Naina Devi Temple.
