The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Monday met to discuss the elevation of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi as the party’s president. The meeting kicked off at 10 am at Sonia Gandhi’s official resident 10 Janpath.

It is said that the party will make all formalities to crown him as the next top leader in the party.
The party leaders said Congress president Sonia Gandhi called a CWC meet despite it was not necessary for her to convene such meet to declare the internal poll date.
