UP civic poll results 2017: BJP mayor candidate Asha Sharma wins Ghaziabad seat

New Delhi:

The counting of votes for 652 civic bodies underway across the state on Friday. Bharatiya Janata Party is leading at maximum mayoral seats in early trends. The polls were concluded for 16 municipal corporations, 198 municipal councils and 438 Nagar panchayats. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had addressed 32 rallies in 14 days.

The polls were concluded in three phase in the state. 

State election commissioner SK Agarwal informed that counting of votes will begin at 8 am. He said the average voting percentage was 52.5 percent in the state. As many as 79,113 candidates were in the fray. 

All district administrations have ordered the closure of liquor shops in the state from November 30 till midnight of December 1.
