At least 11 labourers have been killed and six others injured after a mini truck overturned near Chargavan area in Madhya Pradesh, a police official said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minsiter Shivraj Singh Chauhan Thursday announced ex gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to the kin of deceased persons, Rs 50,000 for seriously injured and Rs 25,000 for the injured ones.

The accident took place at around 1 am when 17 labourers were travelling in the truck of the forest department to Chargavan for plucking tendu leaves, Chargavan police station in-charge Rajendra Bagri said.

Prima facie it appears that the mishap took place as the driver lost control over the vehicle following which it overturned, he said. The injured labourers were admitted in Jabalpur Medical College for treatment, he further said.
Senior police and forest officials rushed to the spot soon after the mishap. The identities of the deceased persons were yet to be established, police added.
