A video of Gujarat Police constable carrying two kids on his shoulders while crossing a flooded area in the state is going viral on social media. According to reports, the cop traveled about one-and-a-half kilometers in waist-deep water at Kalyanpar village of Morbi district.
The constable, identified as Pruthvirajsinh Jadeja, walked through the flooded region despite the strong current. Now he is being lauded by one and all for his act of bravery. Among the first one to do so was Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
“A man in uniform on duty...!! Police constable Shri Pruthvirajsinh Jadeja is one of the many examples of Hard work, Determination and Dedication of Government official, executing duties in the adverse situation. Do appreciate their commitment...” he tweeted while sharing the video.

Former cricketer VVS Laxman also shared the video on microblogging site and wrote ‘hats off to his exemplary dedication and courage’.
“What a wonderful and touching video of Constable Pruthviraj Sinh Jadeja in Kalyanpur village of Gujarat rescuing 2 children by walking one and a half kms in flood water. Hats off to his exemplary dedication and courage #GujaratFloods,” he tweeted.
A similar incident was reported from Madhya Pradesh when a constable saved the life of a man, who fell off a train, by carrying him on his shoulder and running for about one-and-a-half kilometres to a nearby railway station.
Later, the video of the incident went viral on social media platforms and a senior police official praised Poonam Billore's timely act which saved the life of the severely-injured passenger.
