Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari, who had recently undergone a surgery and observing a day-long BJP fast on Thursday, said that his pain was not bigger than that of the public.

Tiwari was attended by a doctor as he complained of "some pain" at the venue of the fast being held by party members in protest against the impasse in Parliament, in Delhi.

"I had recently undergone a laser operation for stone, so there is some pain. But my pain is not bigger than the pain of public," the BJP MP from Delhi captioned a picture post on Twitter.

The BJP blamed the Congress for the Parliament Budget Session which witnessed complete washout recently. It accused the Congress of not allowing any debate or discussion in the two houses of Parliament and Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the party MPs for a fast protest.
