National Herald Case: Delhi Court fixes November 17 for next hearing

New Delhi:

Delhi's Patiala House Court Saturday has fixed November 17 for order on plea of senior Congress leader Motilal Vora. The rest part of submission of evidence by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy will be recorded on the same date, according to sources.

Earlier, Motilal Vora approached the court seeking to restrain BJP leader Subramanian Swamy from sharing information on the National Herald case on social media.

Swamy had accused senior Congress leader Vora of wasting the court's time by filing frivolous applications in the National Herald case. 

The infamous National Herald Case relates to the Indian National Congress granting an interest-free loan of Rs. 90.25 crore to Associated Journals Limited (AJL). Associated Journals Limited is the owner of the National Herald newspaper which was established by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938. The prime accused- UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress party president Rahul Gandhi hold major shares in the Associated Journals Limited.
