New Delhi:

Manisha Singh, who belongs to one of Rajasthan’s royal families, attended a program on Tuesday on the ongoing Padmavati Row at News Nation.

While discussing the movie, she told Ajay Kumar, Senior Executive Editor, News Nation that bedroom scenes should not be portrayed in the movie.

The Rajput society members claimed that history should not be distorted and there must be factual proof. Amid threats of chopping nose and ears of actress Deepika Padukone, Ajay Kumar posed it as a question to guests for their opinion.

He further said that a BJP MLA had offered Rs. 10 crores reward for beheading actor Ranveer Singh.

Manisha Singh answered that she is also a woman and strongly supports the cause of women empowerment. She asked that her views should also be put forward.

She claimed that Rajputs are protesting in a peaceful manner and haven’t resorted to such tactics. Ajay Kumar then proceeded forward to ask that whether Sanjay Leela Bhansali should show the film to the Rajput society and the royal families in order to release it?

Manisha Singh replied that if there are too many controversial scenes in the movie, then it should not be released.

She, however, claimed that if the movie is shown to the royal families and Rajput society apart from deleting some of the controversial scenes; then the film should be released.

Padmavati has been facing huge protests from the Rajput society and Karni Sena. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has already announced that the film wouldn't be released in his state.

Padmavati's release date has already been deferred voluntarily by makers. Earlier, it was scheduled to be released on 1st December.
