People who declared victory in Karnataka and misled PM must be ousted: Shatrughan Sinha

New Delhi:

Terming the Karnataka defeat as “resounding embarrassment and loss of moral standing” for the party, disgruntled BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday said that those who “misled” Prime Minister Narendra Modi by declaring victory in the southern state must be held accountable and shown the door.

“All those who misled Hon’ble PM, particularly those who declared victory in his presence, must be held responsible and shown the door,” Sinha said in a series of tweets.

The actor-turned-politician hailed the “Congress-JD(S) master strategy for isolating those conspiring to undermine the spirit of democracy”.

“Siddaramaiiah and Kumaraswamy gave a resounding slap to the constitutional saboteurs,” the BJP MP from Patna Sahib said.

Sinda also came out in support former Union minister Yashwant Sinha and sought the resignation of Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala for “masterminding” the mess in the southern state “which has wasted time and energy of the nation and cost our nation a loss of international reputation”.

Yashwant Sinha, the father of Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, had announced his exit from the BJP last month at a meeting convened by “Rashtra Manch” - a non-political platform.

He had held key portfolios like Finance and External Affairs in Atal Bihar Vajpayee’s government.

The former finance minister had also staged a demonstration in New Delhi along with RJD leader Manoj Jha in protest against the Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala’s invite to BS Yeddyurappa for formation of government despite the BJP falling short of majority.
