New Delhi:
Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a Chennai-based businessman from a hotel in Karol Bagh for allegedly making a video of a college student while she was bathing.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vijay Singh confirmed the incident to News Nation. “We have arrested the businessman and seized his phone. He has been identified as Deepak,” said Singh.
He added that an FIR has been lodged under relevant IPC sections.
The victim, a student of Ranchi University, along with her classmates and professors are in a week-long visit to Delhi for an education tour.
A victim’s friend talking to NewsNation.in said, “Around 9 AM in the morning, the victim went to the bathroom to have bathe. She noticed that someone from the adjacent washroom was making her MMS from an iPhone.”

“She immediately alerted us and the professors. Our professors with help of the hotel management called the police and detailed the event,” said the victim’s friend.
She added our professors have filed a complaint against the accused with police at Kirti Nagar police station.
