Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development projects during his visit to poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. During the visit, Modi will inaugurate “Sutra Seva” – an urban transport scheme – In Indore and dedicate the Mohanpura Irrigation Project in Rajgarh to the people of the state.
“The prime minister will dedicate the Mohanpura irrigation project worth Rs 3,866 crore to the people of the state. This project, which includes a dam and a canal system, will benefit 727 villages in Madhya Pradesh,” a government public relations officer (PRO) informed media.
The prime minister will also felicitate the winners of Swachh Survekshan 2018 and give awards to the representatives of Indore, Bhopal and Chandigarh – the top three cleanest cities, respectively.

#01:55 PM: A glimpse of Mohanpura Irrigation Project: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Mohanpura Irrigation Project in Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh. The Rs 3,866-crore project includes a dam and a canal system. It will benefit 727 villages in the state. The project was completed within four years. Special attention is given to micro-irrigation in the scheme. It means water for irrigation will be available through pipelines.
