New Delhi:
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday released Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for Punjab Assembly elections in Jalandhar.
While addressing a press conference Jaitley said that the major focus will be to implement Goods and Services Tax (GST) from July 1.
Jaitley further stated that BJP’s alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will continue like before and we will further expand developmental activities if given another term.
Key points of BJP’s manifesto is to provide free education to girls belonging to weaker sections of society till PhD. Manifesto also includes provision for jobs for every family in the state.
Jaitley also stressed on the benefits of demonetisation and digital economy. However when asked about the success of demonetisation, he said, “A good move never fails.”
