Amid the intense political slugfest in Parliament, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday sent a wave of laughter in the lower house during the no-confidence motion debate.

Gandhi, whose public speaking ability has often been criticised by his opponents, again made a goof up. While speaking on the no-confidence vote in Parliament, Rahul said that “PM Modi bar me jaate hai (Mod goes to bar)” but later clarified that he wanted to say “bahar me jate ghain (goes to abroad)”.

After the goof up, the Lok Sabha, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, burst into laughter. After finishing his speech, Gandhi went to Modi and hugged him.

The Lok Sabha was debating on the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition Congress against the ruling BJP-led NDA government.
