New Delhi:
Congress president Rahul Gandhi is once again in news for winking. This time he did it during a debate over the Rafale deal in the Lower House of the Parliament. The incident was caught on camera when AIADMK MP and Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha M Thambi Durai was making his submissions during the debate. Durai asked why NDA government-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave Rafale offset contract to Anil Ambani - a new company - when it has the intention of promoting 'Make In India'. At this, Gandhi along with other MPs sitting around him began to applaud by the traditional banging of desks. A second later, Gandhi craned his neck and winked.Â

The incident was caught on camera and the video is now going viral on the social media. It has given fresh ammunition to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to attack the Congress president. The party has slammed him for winking yet again during a serious debate. "Rahul Gandhi ‘winks’ again... This time during the all serious debate on #Rafale. He surely needs help! (sic)," tweeted BJP IT chief Amit Malviya.Â
Earlier in July, Gandhi was caught winking during the debate on a no-confidence motion against the NDA government. At that time, he had walked over to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi after finishing his speech and hugged him while the PM remained seated. Later, he was seen winking at Jyotiraditya Scindia who was sitting next to him in the Lok Sabha.
