With assembly elections due later this year, Rajasthan CM Vasundhra Raje faced massive blow as Congress won Mandalgarh assembly seat and was leading in Alwar and Ajmer Lok Sabha constituencies in crucial by-elections on Thursday.

Apart from Rajasthan, BJP had to face a humiliating defeat in West Bengal as well where TMC bagged both Noapara assembly seat and Uluberia Parliamentary seat by a huge margin.

As far as Rajasthan is concerned, experts feel the bypoll results are likely to leave its trail on the upcoming assembly elections.

The by-elections on the three seats were held on Monday and a total of 42 candidates were in the fray.

# Raghu Sharma of Congress has won in Ajmer by 84238 votes

Congress's Vivek Dhakad has won Mandalgarh assembly seat by 12976 votes. He defeated BJP's Shakti Singh.

# It is now almost clear that Congress is going to win all the three seats in crucial Rajasthan bypolls. Party workers in Jaipur has already started to celebrate.

Bypoll trends so far for Alwar Lok Sabha constituency: Congress is leading by 48288. Karan Singh (INC) - 226592 and Jaswant Yadav (BJP) -178304, Nota - 6173.

# Bypoll trends so far for Mandalgadh Assembly seat: Congress leading by 2012 votes, Congress candidate Vivek Dhakar is leading with 45011, BJPs' Shakti Singh gets 42999.

BJP’s Jaswant Singh Yadav is locking horns with Congress’s Karan Singh Yadav in Alwar while Ram Swaroop Lamba of the saffron party is up against Congress’s Raghu Sharma for crucial Ajmer Lok Sabha by-poll.

Counting of votes for Rajasthan by-polls in two Lok Sabha seats of Ajmer and Alwar and one Assembly constituency of Mandalgarh, and West Bengal's Uluberia Lok Sabha seat and Naopara Assembly seat to be held today.
