The death of former Tamil Nadu CM J. Jayalalithaa has thrown the state's politics in turmoil. Since then, AIADMK too has been facing a volatile situation and there are talks of formation of new political alliances with each passing day.

Southern superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan interacted with Tamil Nadu Deputy CM O Panneerselvam in Chennai on Sunday at the launch of actor Sivaji Ganesan's memorial. It is being speculated that both the actors may enter politics.

Rajinikanth addressed people in Chennai and said that, "If you have to succeed in politics, merely name, fame and money are not enough. It is something else that is needed''.

He further said that when he asked Kamal Haasan about the route to success in politics, he asked Rajinikanth to come along with him.

Earlier, on Friday, Kamal Haasan had said that if Rajinikanth enters politics, he will join hands with him.

Rajinikanth has earlier supported PM Modi on many occasions. He had earlier offered support to PM Modi's 'Swachhata Hi Seva' mission.
