New Delhi:

Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convict AG Perarivalan has filed a second RTI plea in Pune seeking to know the grounds for Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's early release in the 1993 Mumbai blast case, news agency ANI reported on Saturday.

Perarivalan, who is lodged in Vellore central prison, had petitioned the Yerwada Central Prison authorities in June last year seeking to know the provisions under which Dutt was released before he completed his five-year jail term. Perarivalan had also sought details of the communication between the Centre and the Maharashtra government.

However, the request was turned down on the grounds that the information related to a third party.
