New Delhi:
A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale on Wednesday evening hits the national capital, tremors of which were felt in Uttarakhand and different parts of the country.
According to European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (the epicenter of the earthquake is 121 Km East of Dehradun.
The depth of the quake was 30 km and it hits Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand this evening, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) report said.There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
Tremors were also felt in Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
