New Delhi:

The Yogi Adityanath government knocked off Taj Mahal from its latest tourism booklet. The Taj Mahal is among “seven wonders of the world."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has said in the past that Taj Mahal did not represent Indian culture but the Ramayana and Bhagwad Gita did.

Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department released brochure titled Apaar Sambhavnaye or ‘Boundless Possibilities’ which exhibits most of the cultural and heritage sites of belonging to Hindu religion in the state.

The brochure depicts Varanasi and its ghats, the upcoming Ardh Kumbh Mela in Allahabad. It also promotes Ayodhya and Mathura-Vrindavan as they are the birthplace of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna.

It also mentions Gorakhpeeth where the Chief Minister is the head priest.
