The AIADMK has asked its workers not to have any links with Raja, a former panchayat president of Periyakulam in Theni district.
There were also reports that Raja was apparently not happy with Panneerselvam over his decision to promote his son in politics. Refusing to abide by Panneerselvam's instructions, Raja contested and won elections and elected to head a milk cooperative Aavin in Madurai.
