In yet another fresh trouble, Tej Pratap Yadav, the mercurial elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Tuesday received an anonymous call, threatening to kill both Yadav and his personal assistant, according to sources. The caller, who made the phone call from a 10-digit mobile number - (+91) 8292809517 - claims himself to be RJD's student wing leader at Goh village of Bihar's Aurangabad district.

Soon after the incident, Yadav reached out to the Secretariat police station to submit an application, requesting a formal investigation regarding the same. An FIR has been also lodged based on his complaint. His PA also went to nearby Goh police station to ensure the speedy arrest of the caller.

This comes days after Yadav, the maverick MLA and former cabinet minister, had on March 28, resigned as the 'sanrakshak' (mentor) of RJD’s student wing, saying those who think he is ignorant are ignorant themselves and he is well aware of who is worth what.

"I am resigning from the post of Chhatra Rashtriya Janata Dal Sanrakshak. Those who think I am ignorant are ignorant themselves. I am well aware of who is worth what," Yadav tweeted in Hindi.

What comes as a major embarrassment to RJD, Yadav on Monday also announced the formation of a parallel outfit Lalu Rabri Morcha, which he insisted is not separate from the RJD and pointed towards photographs of his parents besides younger brother Tejashwi Yadav who has in the recent past emerged as the party’s de facto leader.

While speaking about the emergence of Lalu Rabri Morcha, he also urged his mother, Rabri Devi, to contest from Saran Lok Sabha seat in place of the father of his estranged wife and threatened to contest as an Independent if his request was not heeded.

It has been quite long that RJD has been beset by speculations of fierce rivalry between Tej Pratap and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi has been declared as the political heir apparent of the RJD chief.
