Samajwadi Party candidates marked their leads over nearest BJP rivals in Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, show latest trends. In both the seats, the Bahujan Samaj Party is supporting the SP candidates.
In Bihar, the RJD won in Jehanabad, while the BJP managed to retain Bhabua. In Araria, Lalu Prasad’s RJD is leading by 86,000 votes.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, “The UP and Bihar bypolls prove that the voters are angry with BJP.”
