In a tragic incident a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Shiva Kumar was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in Greater Noida on Thursday evening. Shiva Kumar has been identified as a headman of Tigri village in Bisrakh.
Shiva Kumar's driver too was also killed in the incident. As per sources, two bike-borne assailants came close to the car in which the BJP leader was travelling and fired gunshots. After the shots were fired, the driver lost control over the car and rammed it into a divider. A security guard accompanying Kumar was injured and has been admitted to a Delhi hospital.

Reports claim that two other occupants from the car were also severely injured and were later admitted in a private hospital nearby. Following the accident, the locals present at the spot informed the concerned authorities. A police officer said that the driver lost control of the car which then rammed into another vehicle. A girl also died after succumbing to her injuries when the BJP leader's car rammed into her during the attack.
