Yoga guru Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved made a formal entry into the e-commerce space with an aim of reaching out to more customers. 

Haridwar-based Patanjali has also entered into agreements with e-retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Bigbasket and Grofers, among others, to sell its products through their platforms. 

Patanjail Ayurved said it has developed a detailed plan to make its products available from "Haridwar to every door step online".

Patanjali Ayurved said in a statement that its e-commerce platform www.patanjaliayurved.net "yielded good dividend and response at trial stage itself" with online sales crossing Rs. 10 crore mark in December.

"Online mechanism aims to provide convenient and efficient option along with the extension of the traditional retail market," said Ramdev.

Meanwhile, talking about his future plans regarding FMCG companies and e-commerce partnership, Baba Ramdev has given an exclusive interview to News Nation. He has also expressed his views about FDI in retail and promised a corruption free society.

Earlier, in December, the Chhattisgarh government has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three food processing firms, including Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved, to set up processing units at an estimated investment of Rs 762.80 crore.
