New Delhi:
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday met with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at a five-star hotel in South Mumbai. Uddhav Thackeray’ son Aditya Thackeray was also present on the occasion.
The party dubbed the meeting as a courtesy call, saying that nothing much should be read into it.
Shiv Sena has been attacking its ally BJP in Maharashtra and Centre, and the current development indicates that a new equation could emerge before 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
A few days back , Fadnavis had said that Shiv Sena must understand that it cannot play the role of a ruling party and opposition simultaneously.

The chief minister had said, "Some Sena leaders have developed the habit of opposing everything our government does... One can understand opposition to a few things as they are a different party."
Shiv Sena says, 'the meeting b/w Mamata Banerjee & Uddhav Thackery was just a courtesy call & there is no other meaning to it.'
