In a shocking incident reported from Jharkhand, a woman and her daughter were forced to eat human excreta and their heads tonsured by their neighbours. Their crime, mere suspicion of practicing witchcraft.
The incident took place on Friday in Dulami Village under Sonahatu Police Station in Ranchi.
It all started after a woman and six others took ill and fell unconscious on Thursday night. A man, supposedly a witch doctor was called to find out what went wrong with them. He pointed out the mother and daughter following which they were dragged out of their house and made to eat human excreta. Their heads were also tonsured.
“A case has been registered and action is being taken,” said a police official.
