Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday gave a list of achievements by Modi 2.0 government as the BJP-led NDA dispensation has completed its first 100 days of the second term in office. Javadekar said no other government in the past has taken so many people-friendly decisions in its first 100 days in power.
The decisions taken by the government in its first 100 days have helped empower people, brought in more inclusiveness and transparency, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting said while addressing a press conference in the national capital this noon.
According to the BJP leader, abrogation of Article 370, stripping special status to Jammu and Kashmir, bifurcating the state into two Union Territories, and passage of Triple Talaq Bill, criminalising the instant practice of divorce in Islam, were some of the biggest decisions taken by the Modi 2.0 Cabinet till the date.

On prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir post Article 370 revocation, Javadekar said, "It is been 35 days and only a few minor incidents have taken place. Situation is returning to normalcy".

"One of the important aspects of the decision to revoke Article 370 is that Pakistan knocked several doors including that of the United Nations, but the entire world stood with India," he added.
Fulfilling its 2019 poll promise, the government on August 5 revoked Article 370 to take away Jammu and Kashmir's special status, and proposed the bifurcation of the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The government's effort to tackle head-on the vexatious 72-year-old problem wracking the soul of the nation sent a wave of jubilation among BJP supporters and others, but provoked outrage from the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the mainstream political parties in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Modi government, which secured a massive mandate in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, took oath for the second term on May 30, with a heavier load of expectations this time. In a thumping victory, the BJP-led NDA had secured 353 seats in the Lok Sabha while the Congress-led UPA suffered its second worst defeat with only 91 seats.
