100 Days Of NDA's Second Term Bring Development, Trust, Big changes In India: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the first 100 days of the NDA government's second term has been of "development, trust and big changes" in the country. The Modi government, which secured a massive mandate in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, took oath for the second term on May 30, with a heavier load of expectations this time.

Addressing a public gathering in Haryana's Rohtak, Modi said the government has taken several important decisions during this period, including for those in the farm sector and for the national security. Modi was in Haryana to kick off the BJP's poll campaign ahead of the state Assembly elections due in October this year.

"Whatever big decisions were taken in the past 100 days, inspiration behind them were 130 crore people of the country," he stated.

The prime minister said during the recent Parliament session, a number of bills were passed and the amount of work that was done, had never happened in any Parliament session in the past 60 years. "I thank all the parties for the record work done," he added.

In a thumping victory, the BJP-led NDA had secured 353 seats in the Lok Sabha while the Congress-led UPA suffered its second worst defeat with only 91 seats.
