New Delhi:

In a shocking revelation, 1984 Sikh riots lawyer HS Phoolka on Wednesday informed that Jagdish Tytler was given clean chit in CBI closure report in December itself.

However, the issue was not disclosed to prevent any sort of controversy during Delhi Elections 2014.

While speaking to the reporters, he said, “This is very sad that Tytler got clean chit in CBI closer report but the public was kept in dark."

He added, “Akali dal and Gurudwara Committee were aware of this, but they didn’t share this to public to maintain peace and harmony during Delhi elections.”

“The news was not even given to victim and people too. Tytler got clean chit three months before. They did this because they didn’t want it to affect Delhi election. We will file protest petition against the order,” Phoolka told reporters.

Notably, Jagdish Tytler has been denied ticket to Lok Sabha Elections twice in 2009 and 2014 for his role in 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
