336 rallies in 7-phase UP polls: CM Akhilesh tops list with 211 rallies, BSP's Mayawati did 51 as PM Modi addressed 21 rallies

The voting for last phase of election is presently underway in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. In seventh and last phase of election, voting is going on in 40 seats of seven districts in the state. Elections were conducted in seven phases on 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Political parties are leaving no stone unturned in the important UP elections. Their seriousness towards UP elections can be made out from the fact that political leaders have addressed 336 rallies in total.

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has addressed a total of 211 rallies which is maximum for a political leader. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is at second spot with 55 rallies. BSP supremo Mayawati has addressed 51 rallies for UP assembly elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was very active with 31 rallies during Bihar assembly polls, was behind Akhilesh, Rahul and Mayawati in UP elections. He was at number four in total number of rallies in UP polls.

Akhilesh Yadav remained as the sole super star campaigner for Samajwadi Party. He addressed 211 public gatherings in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh even addressed three to seven rallies in a single day and also participated in roadshow. Mulayam Singh Yadav only addressed four rallies whereas Shivpal confined himself to his area.

Rahul Gandhi who is at second spot has addressed 55 public gatherings and also participated in roadshows. It was for the first time that Sonia Gandhi has not addressed a rally. Priyanka Gandhi has addressed only two public gatherings.

Mayawati has addressed 51 public gatherings and hence she is at number 3 spot. BSP General Secretary Satish Mishra and Nasimuddin Siddiqui was not behind in addressing public gatherings.

PM Narendra Modi was not successful in breaking his own record of addressing rallies. Despite living in his constituency Varanasi for three consecutive days, PM Modi has only addressed 24 rallies in the state. PM Modi has started his campaign from Meerut on January 4. He addressed rallies in Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Bijnor, Badayun, Lakhimpur Khiri, Kannauj, Hardoi, Barabanki, Fatehpur, Urai, Allahabad, Gonda, Bahraich, Basti and Mau

Prime Minister has addressed most number of rallies in Awadh region at Khiri, Hardoi, Barabanki, Gonda and Bahraich.

PM Modi has addressed rally in Mirzapur on March 3. He addressed rally in Jaunpur and participated in roadshow in Varanasi on March 4. PM Modi also addressed rally in Varanasi and Rohania on March 5 and 6.

During the campaign for seventh phase, PM Modi stayed in Varanasi for more than three days. As a Prime Minister, he made record for spending most amount of time during elections.
