Swaroop Raj, the former assistant vice president of Genpact India, on Wednesday committed suicide following his suspension on charges of sexual harassment by two employees at the US-based professional services firm in Noida. The 35-year-old senior executive was found hanging from the ceiling fan around 11:30 pm at their apartment in Paramount Floraville society by his wife. Swaroop was placed in a temporary suspension over the allegations till the case was being probed, according to an official statement released by Genpact India.

Swaroop, however, in his purported suicide note, denied all the allegations against him and said that even if he was proven innocent, his reputation had been tarnished for life and he wouldn't be able to face anyone. He also wrote that he loved his wife dearly and that she should be strong and live with respect.

Here are the 5 things to know about the late AVP of Genpact India:

1. Swaroop had joined Genpact in 2007 as a process developer and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President.

2. Talking about his educational qualification, Swaroop pursued Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation University in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

3. He was a native of Gurugram, Haryana and living with his wife in Noida.

4. The former AVP was married to Kriti Srivastav Raj, who is also a Genpact employee, since 2017.

5. Swaroop had been under psychological pressure ever since he was suspended from the company.
