9 Suspected Khalistan Zindabad Force Terrorists Sent To Judicial Custody Till October 11

The suspected KZF terrorists were planning to carry out a series of attacks in Punjab.

A local Amritsar court on Wednesday sent nine suspected terrorists of revived Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), backed by Pakistan based terror group, to judicial custody till October 11, news agency ANI reported. They were arrested by the Punjab police last month and were allegedly part of a terrorist module of KZF that was planning to unleash a series of attacks in Punjab.

The Punjab police had last month busted a terrorist module of the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) that was backed by the Pakistan-based chief of the KZF, Ranjeet Singh, alias Neeta, and his Germany-based associate, Gurmeet Singh, alias Bagga.

Four persons were arrested in connection with the terror module and a huge cashe of arms and ammunition. inlcuding hi-tech weapons, were also seized from their custody. These people were planning to carry out terrorists strikes in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and other states.

As the group was backed by international forces, including Pakistan based terror groups, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had handed over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to ensure that the entire conspiracy is unravelled.

With initial investigations revealing the use of drones to deliver terrorists weapons and communication hardware across the border, the chief minister had also urged the Central government to direct the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Border Security Force (BSF) to launch necessary counter-measures to check any further threat from drones to the border state of Punjab.
