New Delhi:

The issue of internal fight in the party was on Wednesday discussed at length at a meeting of AAP’s PAC, the party’s highest decision making body, where majority of the members reiterated their strong support to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The party’s National Council, which will meet on March 28, is expected to deliberate on issues including the internal rift in the party, the functioning of the Delhi government and the party’s stance on the contentious land acquisition bill, senior leader Sanjay Singh told reporters after the meeting.

“Negotiations are still on. We are hoping that something would come out of negotiations considering we have been holding talks since last 7-8 days,” he said.

On the party’s expansion plans, Singh said that Kumar Vishwas have been made the in-charge “to explore possibilities for upcoming Maharashtra local body elections”.

Ahead of the PAC meeting, the party’s internal Lokpal Admiral (retd) L Ramdas, a former navy chief, held deliberations with Kejriwal for nearly an hour, during which he is understood to have conveyed to the party leader to take steps to restore unity and peace in the party.

The meeting, at Kejriwal’s official 6, Flagstaff Road residence, was attended by senior leaders including Kumar Vishwas, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Ilyas Azmi, Pankaj Gupta and Ashish Talwar.
