Month after the speculations of her quitting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in December, party legislator Alka Lamba on Monday claimed that Delhi Chief Minister and AAP president Arvind Kejriwal has just unfollowed her on Twiiter. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Lamba on Sunday dropped hints about the same, saying "He has unfollowed me on Twitter". Speaking to the reporters, Lamba later clarified that she was referring to none other than Arvind Kejriwal in her tweet.
"Just Noticed, "HE has unfollowed me on Twitter 😊. How should I take this now ???," the AAP MLA wrote on Twitter.

The tussle between Lamba and the Aam Aadmi Party started back in December over a proposed amendment in Delhi Legislative Assembly seeking to withdraw former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's Bharat Ratna award. While Lamba alleged that the AAP had asked her to resign on the charges of protesting against the resolution, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party had rubbished her claims.
In the wake of this prevailing situation, Lamba has expressed her displeasure to the AAP leadership, asking them to clear their stand on her position in the party. Speaking to the news agency PTI, Lamba said removing her from WhatsApp groups, unfollowing on Twitter and not inviting in party meetings have made it very diifficult for her to continue. "I cannot compromise my self respect," she added.
However, Lamba, who is the AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk, promised to continue serving the people of her constituency. The legislator further said she was actively involved in campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for Chandni Chowk constituency, but now will focus on her work as a MLA.
"I have a strong feeling that the party does not need my services at all. But till I am an MLA, I will continue serving the people of my constituency," PTI quoted Lamba as saying.
Being asked about the reports of her cozying up to the Congress, Lamba said, "It is being assumed that I am going to join the Congress though I have not uttered a word against the AAP or its leaders. But on the other hand, efforts to ally with the Congress through a 'Mahagathbandhan' are considered okay by them".
The AAP legislators have been accusing Gandhi of justifying’ the killing of innocent Sikhs in the 1984 riots. However, the passed resolution available on the Delhi assembly’s website has no mention about Gandhi.
The 1984 anti-Sikh riots, or what the Sikh community calls genocide, erupted in India with thousands of Sikhs being killed following the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi's mother and former prime minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards on October 31.
