Anti-sabotage checks, security tightened at Baidyanath Dham temple

Police Intensified Anti-sabotage Checks And Enhanced Security At Different Places Of The City In The Wake Of Serial Blasts On Monday In The Pilgrimage Town Of Bodh Gaya In Bihar.

Security has been beefed up at the famous Baidyanath Dham temple in Deogarh following the serial blasts at Bodh Gaya on Sunday morning, police said.

"The security has been tightened near the temple complex,"said a senior police officer here

Police intensified anti-sabotage checks and enhanced security at different places of the city in the wake of serial blasts on Monday in the pilgrimage town of Bodh Gaya in Bihar.

"We have been conducting anti-sabotage checks involving personnel from special units and local police for the past 10 days in public places including at shopping complexes, cinema halls, malls, railway stations and bus stands.

"(As a result of) today's blasts, we have further enhanced vigil and frisking operations," a senior police officer informed.

Twin blasts in the city's Dilsukhnagar area on Feburary 21 this year had killed at least 17 people and injured 100 others. The NIA is investigating the incident.
