A victim of Asaram’s sexual assault has made some shocking revelations about the self-styled godman and his family. She has alleged that Asaram’s family used to fetch girls and also threaten them.
Asaram's wife Lakshmi Devi and daughter Bharti sent girls to Asaram, the victim said.
The victim said that she has full faith in police and believes that the guilty will get strict punishment for the heinous crime. However, when asked what punishment should be awarded to Asaram and his son, she said the duo should be hanged till death.
"I believe in police that they will take strict action against Asaram and family members,'' said the victim.
''Asaram used to call girls in shack for meditation purpose but used to sexually assault them,'' she added.
The girl also alleged that Asaram used to send signals about the choice of girl and his wife used to make arrangements accordingly. She also revealed name of Monica, whom she alleged of supplying girls like Asaram’s other aide Shilpi.
The victim also said that Asaram's son Narayan Sai practiced black magic. She has appealed that the girls who have been victims of Asaram and his son should come forward and raise their voices to get justice.
However, Asaram's supporter and president of Sant Mahasabha Swami Chakrapani, talking to News Nation, has continued to defend the controversial godman, sarcastically saying a complaint department must be created, where anyone can come and point fingers towards the duo.
He also criticised the media for covering the case and unnecessarily creating hype over the issue.
In response to Chakrapani's statements defending Asaram, Dharmacharya Ajay Gautam, speaking to News Nation, cited the example of epic Ramayana, where Sita went through agni pareeksha, merely because of a doubt.
Asaram is currently lodged in Jodhpur jail and his son Narayan Sai is on the run. The Surat police has formed six teams to trace Narayan Sai, whose whereabouts are not known after complaints of sexual assault were filed against the father-son duo by two sisters.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in Chandkheda police station in Ahmedabad against Asaram on the complaint that was transferred from Surat on the allegations of the elder sister that she was repeatedly sexually abused at his ashram in Motera in Gujarat.
"We have formed six teams to search for Sai," Surat Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said without giving any further details.
