New Delhi:

The screenplay of Madhya Pradesh edition of Operation Lotus against Kamal Nath government was written in Delhi, sources told News Nation on Wednesday. Sources have said that a crucial meet was attended by BJP chief JP Nadda, senior leader and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and VD Sharma on February 29. It was in this meeting that the entire mission was planned, the sources said. It is also being claimed that the BJP high command has already give its nod for government formation in Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Anand Rai, one of Vyapam whistle-blower, told News Nation that he was also offered a ministerial berth by the BJP. Rai further added that not just Chauhan, top-most leaders from BJP in Delhi were involved in Operation Lotus. Meanwhile, the state of confusion prevails in Madhya Pradesh. While the Congress claims that 6 out of 10 MLAs have been ‘rescued’, News Nation has learnt that only expelled BSP lawmaker is back in the Kamal Nath camp. Other leaders are still missing or are still in the Manesar resort. The Congress has claimed that Rs 100 crore was offered to each MLA.

As the suspense continues, Madhya Pradesh Minister BS Rathore has dared a floor test to prove that Kamal Nath government is out of danger. “Those involved in buying MLAs using black money, are the ones who are afraid that their corrupt practices will be exposed by Congress government. But the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh will run for 5 years. If needed, conduct a floor test,” Rathore was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The magic figure in the 231-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly is 115. The ruling Congress has 114 MLAs, while the BJP has 107 MLAs. Hence, these eight lawmakers can completely change situation in Madhya Pradesh. At present, Madhya Pradesh Assembly has 228 members; two seats were vacated after death of respective lawmakers. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath told PTI: "Things are under control. There is nothing like that. The MLAs will come back". Attacking the Congress for making false accusations, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Congress veteran was engaging in sensationalism. BJP vice-president and MLA Rameshwar Sharma told PTI that people don’t take the Congress veteran seriously.
