Slamming Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said it has filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) against his speech. Rahul on Thursday in Indore said that the saffron party followed politics of hate.

"Rahul Gandhi has been making nonsense and baseless allegations against the BJP. He is trying to get votes by dividing the people on communal basis. We have complained to Election Commission to take action against Rahul Gandhi and Congress party," said BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused BJP of creating a divide in Uttar Pradesh for political gain, he added, "BJP felt that unless there is a Hindu versus Muslim situation in Uttar Pradesh, they would not do well. So, they set this fire. And, that it was Congress which had doused the fire."
