BJP’s Parliamentary board is set to meet at its headquarters on Sunday to decide on the ‘’four chief ministerial candidate nominees”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to arrive at 6 pm where he will be felicitated after an amazing show in the results announced on Saturday.

State BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union minister Manoj Sinha and Home Minister Rajnath Singh are being seen as probable contenders for the top post in Uttar Pradesh. BC Khanduri, the former chief minister of Uttarakhand and Vijay Bahuguna are the front-runners for the post in the hilly state.

Th Chouba Singh and N Biren Singh are BJP’s chief ministerial candidates in Manipur. Manohar Parrikar, former Goa CM, may make a comeback to the post in Goa.

BJP stormed back to power in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand securing landslide wins. Anchored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah, the BJP juggernaut rolled on in UP and in the neighbouring state of Uttarakhand, bagging three-fourth majority. According to the results, the BJP-plus won 325 seats in the 403-member Assembly in Uttar Pradesh.
