New Delhi:
At least eight people were killed while several others injured in a massive blast in an oxygen cylinder in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district.
The incident took place in Line Bazaar area near Matapur town at around 5 pm today. The cause of the incident is unknown.
Fire tenders and medical services were rushed to the spot and rescue operations are currently underway. The ciity administration also reached the spot immediately after the blast.
According to reports, while one died on the spot, seven others, who were rushed to the nearby hospital, succumbed to their injuries.
