New Delhi:
A big scandal of bogus bookings in the name of Corbett National Park has been disclosed by Uttarakhand Police.
A group of hackers allegedly hacked an inactive government portal and started charging money by making bogus bookings.
According to government officials, the website was inactive for a very long time. The matter come into light only after some of the hotel owners made complaints about the bogus bookings.
Corbett National park hosts thousands of tourists every year.
A complaint has been registered and police is probing the matter.
