In a horrifying incident, at least two people were killed and 26 others injured when a joyride with 31 people on board crashed at an adventure park in Ahmedabad’s Maninagar on Sunday afternoon. Initial reports suggest that the victims and survivors were rushed to LG Hospital in Maninagar.
Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra met the survivors and their families at the hospital. "The police along with the FSL team is investigating the matter. Proper treatment is being given to the injured," Nehra said.

According to The Indian Express, which quoted officials, the joyride, in the shape of a circular pendulum, broke down from a pole like structure which came crashing when the ride was operational.
Several videos which were shared on social media show the victims, mostly in their early twenties, trapped inside the wreckage.
“These teams are already on the spot to investigate the exact cause of this accident. Also, whether the contractor had acquired permissions and whether these permissions were renewed will be probed. Investigations to find out if there was any lack of maintenance will also be accried out,†Nehra said.
