Two soldiers and a civilian were killed as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in Tanghar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday, police said. Three civilians were also injured in the firing by Pakistani troops, they said. Two houses were damaged in the incident. The Anti-Terrorism Squad of Maharashtra police on Saturday arrested a man from Nagpur's Mominpura area in connection with the murder of former Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha leader, Kamlesh Tiwari. 

The Indian government has decided to call off a proposed visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Turkey's capital Ankara. The visit was expected to take place at the end of October. According to sources, PM Modi was slated to visit the country following his visit to Saudi Arabia, where he is going to attend a mega-investment summit on October 27-28.

Defence Minister has spoken to Army Chief General Bipin Rawat over the situation following the ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army today in J-K's Tangdhar sector. The Defence Minister is personally monitoring the situation and has asked the Army Chief to keep updating him.

J-K: Indian Army Avenges Tangdhar Ceasefire Violation, 4-5 Pakistan Soldiers Killed In PoK

4-5 Pakistan Army soldiers were killed and several injured after Indian Army launched attacks on terrorist camps situated inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) opposite the Tangdhar sector on Sunday. According to sources, four terror launch pads in Neelam valley inside PoK were targeted and destroyed during the retaliation by India.


Indian Navy spokesperson: Indian Navy is preparing for an exercise in the Arabian Sea in which assets of the Mumbai-based Western Naval Command would be employed. The force would test operational preparedness and try out new strategies of naval operations.

Indian Army has launched attacks on terrorist camps situated inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) opposite the Tangdhar sector. This is in retaliation to the support provided by Pakistan Army to push terrorists into Indian territory.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): CISF recovered a bag containing fake currency notes with face value of Rs 4,64,000 (in denomination of Rs 500 note), lying unattended near gate number 8 of Kashmiri Gate Metro Station in Delhi. It was handed over to Delhi Metro Rail Police.

All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) have called an all-India bank strike on October 22 in protest against the mergers of 10 public sector banks.

One Injured After Head-On Truck Collision In Noida’s Sector 18 Market

A Mini truck driver was injured after his vehicle collided with another truck in sector 18 market of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The massive accident took place on Sunday at 12.10 am. The accident in the busy market area created chaos. It is to be noted that the sector 18 market is also known as the Atta market.  

Delhi In Danger This Diwali Season

Terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed is trying to target Delhi with a big terror incident in the national capital during the festive season. According to intelligence inputs, more than 400 sensitive buildings and markets in Delhi are on JeM's target list. Security has been beefed up in the national capital after getting the intelligence input. Delhi has been put on alert ahead of Diwali and other festivals. According to a highly placed source in Delhi police, Eight of fifteen districts in Delhi are considered sensitive. These are Rohini, North-East, North-West, North, East, Central, New Delhi, and Dwarka. About 425 places including building, landmarks and markets have been identified in these districts as sensitive areas.

Trade and defence cooperation were among the issues that were to be on the table during PM Modi's Ankara visit, which had been agreed to 'in-principle.'
