01:45 pm: Former ward councillor Nageshwar Rai was shot dead by unknown assailants at Chitragupta Nagar in Patna, earlier today. Police at the spot.

01:30 pm: Sri Lankan Navy apprehend 4 Indian fishermen from Mandapam in Ramanathapuram district earlier today. Interrogation underway.

01:15 pm: J Prasada, Congress: There should be a nationwide discussion on population control, a law should be made for the same. If country has to move forward, concrete steps have to be taken. I demand the govt that whatever laws have to be brought in on this issue, should be brought in.

01:00 pm: BJP MP Arjun Singh's car was allegedly vandalised by Trinamool Congress workers near Shyamnagar Railway Station, North 24 Parganas. Arjun Singh says,"They were trying to capture our party office. When I went to check, my car was vandalised. Police was also at the spot".

08:30 am: A 50-year-old ward boy was arrested yesterday for allegedly molesting a 30-year-old woman who was kept on ventilator at the ICU of a hospital in Hyderabad. The woman had come for delivery of her child at the hospital and was kept on ventilator after her condition turned critical.

08:00 am: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh says, "Bajrang Dal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are taking money from ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence). Attention should be paid to this. Non-Muslims are spying for Pakistan's ISI more than Muslims. This should be understood".
