New Delhi:

The 5-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, will sit in chamber and deliberate over the verdict in Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya case on Thursday. The Supreme Court on Wednesday concluded hearing in the politically sensitive case and reserved the judgment. The bench heard for 40 days the arguments of the Hindu and the Muslim sides. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will seek judicial custody of former finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media case. The ED had arrested him after interrogation in Tihar jail on Wednesday where he has been lodged since September 5. The judicial custody of Chidambaram in the INX Media Case being investigated by CBI is ending on October 17. Meanwhile, the election campaigning for Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections will continue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address rallies in Pune, Satara and Worli in Maharashtra today.

PMC Case: Thomas Sent To Judicial Custody, Police Remand For Arora

Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) Bank case: A Mumbai court on Thursday sent Joy Thomas, former Managing Director of PMC Bank, to judicial custody for 14 days. The court also sent former Director Surjit Singh Arora to police remand till 22nd October. Thomas and Arora were produced in Mumbai's Esplanade court on Thursday.

Mumbai: Case Registered For Theft Of Groundwater

Mumbai: Azad Maidan police has registered FIR under sections 379 and 34 of Indian Penal Code against six persons for theft of groundwater valued around Rs 73.18 Crores over a period of 11 years.
